PLB Contractors take Health and Safety very seriously. We are CHAS accredited (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme). CHAS is a non-commercial scheme available to potential customers looking for suitably competent suppliers.

All our staff undertake regular refresher courses to ensure they are kept fully up-to-date with building industry safety standards. All site managers used will have a Site Managers Health & Safety Training Scheme qualification (SMSTS).

As a reputable local builder in Kent, when we employ someone to undertake construction work, we ensure that the individual has the skills, knowledge, experience and training to competently carry out the work. This is important to us and to the clients we work for and essential for health and safety on site. We also recognise that any required level of skills, knowledge and experience should be in line with the complexity of the work and the range and nature of the risks involved. If we feel further training for any individual on any aspect of a building project is required, this is scheduled in to ensure the work is not disrupted.

As a small builder it is important to us that we can show that our staff or subcontractors we use have the skills, knowledge, experience to carry out any building works to the highest standards at all times. Health and safety is a prime consideration on any building project we work on and we always strive to carry out the work safely and without risk to the health of anyone involved.
